Endowment Fund

In 1997 the Week of Compassion Endowment Program was established within the Christian Church Foundation to ensure that the witness and work of Week of Compassion would continue and grow for generations to come. Annual distributions from the Foundation now provide ongoing assistance long after disasters and crises have been replaced in the newspaper headlines and television broadcasts. As of October 9, 2007, its market value is $2,210,260.81.

Many Disciples have included the Week of Compassion Endowment Program in the careful stewardship of their resources, both today and for the future, through planned gifts. We invite you to contact the Christian Church Foundation or the Week of Compassion to consider appropriate ways you might join other Disciples who have been inspired to serve “the least of these” and committed planned acts of compassion.
