THANK YOU,
WEEK of COMPASSION
Dear Week of Compassion,
More than three years have passed since the war in Bosnia finally came to an end; however, many wounds remain on this land and on her peoples. They say that time heals all wounds. Perhaps that is true, but the truth is that our wounds would never heal without the understanding and help of people of good-will like the Disciples of Christ.
THANK YOU for your constant support and help, and thank you even more for understanding the suffering of our people during this difficult time. Please continue to keep the 3.5 million citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina in your prayers.
With heartfelt thanks and a warm embrace,

Dear Week of Compassion,
We had six families from this congregation who lost their homes and four others who experienced significant damage from the May tornadoes. Through the generosity of Week of Compassion to the Christian Church in Oklahoma, these families all received financial assistance that has been greatly appreciated.
Of equal importance, the grant of $5000 to this
congregation was a major contribution to the project of renovating 24 apartments at Autumn Glen.
Please pass on this word of gratitude to any and all who need to know how much the assistance from Week of Compassion eased the pain and provided essential assistance to persons who suffered great loss in the tornado.
Sincerely,
Don E. Gibson

Dear Week of Compassion,
Saludos! from the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
On behalf of the Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Week of Compassion for your generous support of our ministry here in the Valley. It is the dedicated and faithful support from Week of Compassion that enables our outreach programs to continue serving the less fortunate. Once again, Thank You, and all who make Week Compassion possible. May you be blessed with an abundance of the love and peace of the Lord.
In Christ's Service,

Dear Week of Compassion,
When Hurricane Mitch roared through Central America more than a year ago, it permanently changed Honduras. Thanks to the quick response of Week of Compassion, the Christian Commission for Development (CCD) was able to provide emergency assistance to over 120,000 Hondurans (18% of the affected population) who were victimized by the hurricane. Thank You.
Now in our reconstruction phase, Week of Compassion is still providing assistance to help people build new homes and plant crops. Through Week of Compassion, Disciples have been here both physically and spiritually. It is because of the generosity and faithfulness of the churches who support Week of Compassion that we are encouraged to continue with our work not only building new homes, but also rebuilding lives, hopes and dreams. Thank You.
May the love and peace of Christ be with you,
Don Tatlock
